Speak Up!
Despite all the innovations and achievements from the past century to now, society still faces many problems. Unfortunately, some of these problems seem to get worse instead of better over time. One of these problems is BULLYING- it can happen anywhere, anytime, and to anyone.
Every day, there are people who succumb to their inner demons and thoughtlessly hurt others for no apparent reason. Every day, there are people who suffer unnecessarily at the hands of others despite their attempts to confront the problem or ignore it in desperate hope that the torture would simply end... Even worse is that every day, there are people who mindlessly observe without taking action to end the pointless and cruel actions of other people.
People can no longer remain this passive. All they have to do is speak up every time we see someone being bullied. Speaking up is a easy, simple yet powerful action. Anyone and everyone can speak up. Beginning with this simple step, we can all unite and embark on a mission to put an end to bullying. Like the Taoist philosopher Lao-Tzu once said, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." We just need to take that first step. Speak Up!
