Can Fast Food Ever Be Good For You?
Although it may be surprising, the answer is yes. Instead of choosing the obviously unhealthy choices like the 790 Calorie Angus Bacon and Cheese, consumers can choose, instead, to eat the 90 Calorie Premium Caesar Salad or the 250 Calorie Hamburger. Furthermore, they can complement their meal with carrots or apple fries or fruits or walnuts. Cutting out trans fat, which is the really bad kind of fat, also makes fast food meals much healthier. And drinking water instead of sugary soft drinks will keep you on track for a healthier lifestyle!

Our Food. Your Questions
McDonald's.com has a page where you can ask questions and McDonald's will answer.
Pam. A. asks:
"Why does your food have to be so high in fat? Is it possible to make the same yummy burgers and cut out a lot of the fat?"
McDonald's Answer:
"...The fat content in our hamburger patties is comparable to the fat content of the beef patties you would buy at the grocery store. If you'd like to cut back on fat, feel free to ask your McDonald's...crew member to hold the cheese, mayo or dressing on your next order. Even with these modifications, our burgers can still have the great taste that our customers know and love. It's worth noting that our regular hamburger has 250 calories and 8 grams of fat..."
This means that the choice to eat healthy is yours. You are in control of what goes into your burger (Do you want mayo or ketchup?). There is no need to give up delicious food for health when you can have a perfectly low fat low calorie burger.

Man Sheds 80 Pounds on McDonald's Diet
QUINTON, Va. — A Virginia man lost about 80 pounds in six months by eating nearly every meal at McDonald's.
Not Big Macs, french fries and chocolate shakes. Mostly salads, wraps and apple dippers without the caramel sauce.
Chris Coleson tipped the scales at 278 pounds in December. The 5-foot-8 Coleson now weighs 199 pounds and his waist size has dropped from 50 to 36.
The 42-year-old businessman from Quinton says he chose McDonald's because it's convenient.
His inspiration came from his two children and from the story of a blind war veteran who rode
a tandem bicycle cross-country.
Coleson says his goal is to get back to the 185 pounds he weighed when he married Tricia Summer. Their 10th anniversary is Saturday.
